Our Story

Kit James is a destination for parents who wish to find timeless, classically tailored styles for their little ones, that will contribute to a high quality, durable capsule wardrobe to be handed down.

Our founder, Brooke, found it difficult to locally source items that suited her needs after the birth of her three children. So many items on the market were busy prints with loud colours and adult designs.

She turned to the international markets, and found several brands, also created by mothers, that aligned with her vision of timeless silhouettes in elegant colour palettes, made from quality, durable fabrics.

Mostly undiscovered on Australian shores, after months of ordering these items for her daughter and testing garments firsthand, she decided to launch Kit James as a one-stop-shop to showcase these brands locally, as well as create an inhouse brand under the label (coming 2023).
