Creating a Capsule Wardrobe - Kit James

Creating a Capsule Wardrobe

"A capsule wardrobe is a collection of clothing that is composed of interchangeable items, to maximise the number of outfits that can be created." - mycapsulewardrobe.com

One of our goals here at Kit James is to help you buy well, once and create a capsule wardrobe for your family.

We believe in investing in pieces that can be worn over and over, and handed down.

Some tips for creating your children a capsule wardrobe?

  • Choose a colour scheme with colours that work well together.
  • Avoid too many prints when starting out your child’s capsule wardrobe, especially with separates. We recommend classic gingham and seersucker shorts for boys and a sweet tasteful floral dress for girls as a place to start with prints.
  • Choose classic shapes and styles that wont date between children.
  • Choose high quality fabrics to last. Items that will last the season and can be handed down to be reloved.

Our Pima Cotton collection is the perfect starting point to help you create a capsule wardrobe, with many interchangeable pieces that will make getting your little ones dressed in the morning fuss-free.
